It feels like we're going in circles...

Sunday was the Junior State Criterium Championship at Bannock Street. I raced with the cat 4 women first thing in the morning and attacked from the start. For a few laps we tried (and almost managed) to catch the cat 1,2,3 women who had started a few seconds ahead of us. It was a great race because we never slowed down and someone was always trying to push the pace.
When we turned the last corner one of the Twins Peak Racing girls was setting up her teammate for the sprint and I followed it. I came up behind her at the very end to take the win.

Avivah and Max raced next in the 10-12 category. Max took 12th in the boys’ race, and Avivah sprinted hard to take a 3rd place finish. Ryan worked hard in the 13-14 race to hold his place in the main pack, and came in with a 13th place.

Ethan took 10th in the 15-16 race which was blown apart by a breakaway by Taylor Phinney, Andrew Barker and the Stockton brothers. By the way Ethan, did you have a chance to get her number? Trevor and I raced 17-18 category in the last junior race of the day. Trevor took 15th in a very competitive men’s field, and I took my second win for the day and a state championship title for Brown and Wills.
It was a really good weekend, and I’d like to extend thanks to the parents from all of the juniors. The support we had this weekend was amazing. Thanks for driving to Denver, pumping tires, pinning numbers, and cheering for hours. All of your support went a long way to help us get the results that we did.
