Red Rock Rider(Tuesday Night Races)

I showed up to the local group ride in Grand Junction. The ride is good ride if you want to just get some race indesity. Ross Schnell showed up so the pace was even faster then usual. By the time we got 10 miles out there was only 6 of us left. usually the group stays togheather tell the infamous 16 road hill. The hill is about 20 miles out. I decided to sit on Ross's wheel every where he went. I was doing good and even feeling pretty good because i was not doing any work in our group of 6. Then tragedy struck, my nose started to bleed. It was gushing blood and i had to stop and take care of it. Manged to stop the bleeding and finish the ride at an easier speed. The best part is didn't get any blood on my jersey. I'll get you next time Ross.

I don't know who else hit the pavement, but I definitely went down yesterday.
On Saturday I was walking out of the coffee shop "bread" in Durango, and overheard Tom Danielson, of the Discovery Channel team. His comment was "I so don't feel like wearing a number today." I thought it was pretty good, because I'm sure he wasn't the only one feeling that way. It was a miserable day at the race, cold and rainy, so it was great of him to show up and race.
On Sunday, we got to watch Luna Chix superstar Shonny Vanlandingham race, showing up the boys with a top 5 finish in the Men's open. A friend of mine, Cory Collier, won the Men's Pro race. Other stats included a 2nd place by Alex Hagman, a friend of a few of the JDT riders, in the Collegiate Men's A. Also Nate Keck and Mitch Hamilton of Mesa State (my own collegiate team:-) posted some solid finishes in the Men's A, although we don't know the exact placings.
